President - Becky (Smith) Gore, Pryor
Becky received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991. While at NSU, Becky served as president of Alpha Sigma Alpha and the Northeastern Student Government Association and was active in the President’s Leadership Class, Model United Nations and the Northeastern Activities Board. She also served on the Student Advisory Board for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Becky now serves as a Special Judge for Mayes County 12th Judicial District. She is also active on the Board of Directors for the Green Country Boys & Girls Club and the Pryor Business Professional Women. Becky is married to fellow alum, Dr. Jim Gore (’91) and they are lifetime members of the NSU Alumni Association.

Vice President - Stephen Highers, Tahlequah
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 2005. Stephen served as the president of the Northeastern Student Government Association and Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He was also a Rookie Bridge Camp Director and served as the Northeast Regional Director for the Oklahoma Student Government Association. He was active in the President's Leadership Class, Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature and was named an Outstanding Senior and to the NSU Hall of Fame. Stephen is currently involved in Leadership Tahlequah, the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce, Tahlequah Young Professionals and serves as the Board Secretary of the Red Cross Muskogee Service Center. He serves as the Field Representative for U.S. Congressman Dan Boren and is married to fellow NSU alumnus, Cami (Hamilton) ('05).

Past President - Diane (Sarey) Walker, Tulsa
Diane earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech & Drama Education in 1988 and a Master of College Teaching - Student Personnel Services in 1991. Diane is currently the Director of the TRiO federal grant program Educational Talent Search at NSU. While at Northeastern, Diane was on the Majestics pom squad, the NSU Dance Company, Children’s Theatre, and was nominated for the Outstanding Senior award. She and her husband Jeff Walker ('87, '88), reside in Tahlequah with their two daughters.

Director of Alumni Services - Daniel Johnson, Tulsa
Danny graduated from NSU in 1991 with a degree in marketing. While a student at Northeastern, Danny was a member of the President's Leadership Class and a four-year letterman for the varsity soccer team, serving as captain his senior year. After graduation, Danny began his career working for NSU in the Office of High School and College Relations as recruiter. He went on to a successful career in consumer product marketing in the outdoor recreation industry and ran his own business. Prior to stepping into the role of NSU’s alumni director in 2009, he served on the Alumni Association’s board of directors. He lives in Coweta and enjoys keeping up with his daughter Camryn.

Secretary - Tina Frazier, Tahlequah
Tina graduated from NSU in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and in 2004 with a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in composition.  While a student at NSU, Tina was a member of the President's Leadership Class and participated in the music program.  Prior to joining the NSU Development and Alumni Services office in 2008, Tina worked for four years at Bacone College, serving as the Director of Adult Education.  She currently resides in Tahlequah with her husband, Justin ('04) and their two dogs, Madison and Sadie.

Barbara Abercrombie, Tulsa
Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 1993. While a student at NSU, Barbara was active in the Non-Traditional Student Association and the Criminal Justice Club.  Barbara is currently the Director of Human Resources at The University of Oklahoma-Tulsa.  She is a lifetime member of the NSU Alumni Association, the President of the Oklahoma College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, the Past-President for the Oklahoma Association for Affirmative Action, an active volunteer with the Tulsa Area United Way.  She and her partner, Tery DeShong, are the proud parents of NSU student Jacob DeShong Abercrombie.

Rachel Anderson Hill, Tulsa
Rachel graduated from NSU with a bachelor of arts in mass communication in 2002 and a master of arts in communication in 2003. She currently serves as communications manager for the Tulsa Metro Chamber and a freelance writer for publications including TulsaPeople magazine. While at NSU, Rachel was the president of both Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and the Society for Collegiate Journalists. She attended NSU on a full academic scholarship, graduated from the Northeastern Honors Program and was inducted into the NSU Hall of Fame in 2002.  Rachel and her husband, Ed Hill, who also attended NSU, are the proud parents of one son, Tyler.

Carol Ann (Shackelford) Barkley, Inola
Carol Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1978. While at NSU Carol Ann participated in the Student Council for Exceptional Children, the Student Education Association and was involved in the Baptist Student Union. She is a retired teacher having taught in the Inola Public School System for over 30 years. She serves as a board member for the Rogers County Volunteers for Youth and has been active in the Oklahoma Education Association, the National Education Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma International. She is a faithful supporter of NSU athletics as a member of the Athletic Association and is a lifetime member of the NSU Alumni Association. She is married to fellow NSU alumnus, Clyde Barkley ('77) and they have 2 children Justin ('04 & '06) and Andrea ('09).

Ron Evans, Collinsville
Ron, a former president of the Alumni Board, is currently serving for the 2nd time.  He is a retired school teacher who earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1960 and a master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 1964.  During his years at NSU, Evans was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon, a two-year letterman for NSU basketball and editor of Tsa-La-Gi.  He is also a co-founder of the Nifty Fifties alumni group.

Danna (Budd) Fowble, Norman
Danna graduated with a B.S. in Meetings and Destination Management from NSU in 1987.  While attending NSU, Danna worked in the Financial Aid office as well as in the College of Business.  She was also active as a Pi Kappa Alpha Lil’ Sis, Intramural sports as well as the Fitness Center on campus.  Danna currently works as Vice President, Federation/Grassroots Development for The State Chamber of Oklahoma, Legislative Advocates for Business where she manages two non-profit organizations, the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives Association (OCCE) and the Oklahoma Professional Economic Development Council (OEDC).  She is also a registered lobbyist fighting for laws to help businesses prosper in Oklahoma as well as the primary event planner for The State Chamber. She and her husband of 23 years met as students at NSU and currently reside in Norman with their two children, Nick and Erica.

Harlan Guthrie, Tulsa
Harlan earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1995. During his time at Northeastern, Harlan was active in Lambda Chi Alpha and Rookie Bridge Camp. He is currently works for Relay Health as a Training Specialist and volunteers his time to the Special Olympics and the Southeast Tulsa Jaycees. Harlan resides in Tulsa and is serving as the Area Director for Green Country Area Management Team for the Special Olympics.

Gilbert Hall, Muskogee
Gilbert graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science min Economics.  While attending Northeastern he was active in the Marketing Club and a soloist of the first “Kazoo Band” of that club.  Gilbert has been employed with OGE Energy Corp. for 32+ years in Muskogee, and has been an adjunct instructor for Connors State College for the past 21 years.  He is the Chairman of the Eastern Workforce Investment Board, serves on the Governors Council for Workforce and Economic Development, the Muskogee Medical Center Authority, a Director of First National Bank of Muskogee, and Green Country United Way Board of directors.  He and his wife Doris have been married for 37+ years, have three grown daughters and 2 grandchildren.

Maci (Hamilton) Jessie, Tahlequah
Maci is a 2001 graduate of Northeastern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, emphasis in Public Relations and minor in Meetings and Destinations Management. Following graduation, she attended law school at the University of Tulsa where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2004. Maci is currently an attorney in private practice with Tim K. Baker & Associates in Tahlequah. While attending NSU, Maci was very active and served in many leadership roles in student organizations including Delta Zeta Sorority, Northeastern Student Government Association, Panhellenic, Rookie Bridge Camp, Redmen Ambassadors and was a staff writer for The Northeastern student newspaper. Maci was also named Miss Greek and an Outstanding Senior in 2001, and was one of the Top Five Greek Females in 2000 and 2001. Maci and her husband Jason ('01, '09) have one daughter, Madeline, and are proud supporters of the NSU Athletic Association and lifetime members of the NSU Alumni Association.

Dr. Justin Lindsey, Tulsa
Dr. Lindsey graduated from Northeastern in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned the Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. Dr. Lindsey practices primary care optometry specializing in contact lenses at Tulsa Eye Clinic. Dr. Lindsey is married to Jennifer Holsted Lindsey, a 1995 graduate of Northeastern with a degree in Meetings and Destinations Management. Together they have 3 children.

David Rader, Tulsa

David graduated from NSU in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics. David is a CPA, licensed in Arkansas and Oklahoma, with over 30 years experience in public and industry accounting and currently works in the Regulatory Affairs Department of ONEOK Partners, LP. During his years at NSU, David was active in the instrumental music program, performing in the brass choir and the concert, jazz and marching bands and serving as Treasurer of Kappa Kappa Psi, the honorary band service fraternity. David and his wife Robbi live in Tulsa where he volunteers with the Bugles Across America.

Russ Riff, Broken Arrow
Russ graduated in 2003 with a bachelor of business administration in Finance.  While attending Northeastern he served as the director of Campus Connections and coordinator of the Redmen Ambassadors.  Russ was involved in Lambda Chi Alpha serving as a four- year officer including president.  He was also selected as an outstanding senior.  Russ currently works for the Commercial Capital division of BancFirst.  He is married to NSU alumnae Amy (Rose) (’03) and they have one daughter, Addison.  The Riffs reside in Broken Arrow and are lifetime members of the Alumni Association.

Michael Turner, Tulsa
Michael graduated from NSU in 1991 with a bachelor of science and in 1998 with a master of science.  While at NSU, he was  active in Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, a member of the NSU Cheerleading squad, and involved with Rookie Bridge Camp.  Following graduation, he served eight years in the US Marine Corps as an Artillery Officer.  He is currently the Business and Community liaison for Tulsa Job Corps.  He is active in the Boston Avenue Methodist Church, serving on the Administrative Board, Religion and Race Committee and Children's Council.  He is also a memer of the Rotary Club of Tulsa, a volunteer and parent for the Special Olympics of Oklahoma, and a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma.  He is married to fellow alumnae Lisa (Bowers) '98 & '99.  They are both life members of the NSU Alumni Association, and their daughters, Madision and Megan, are both NSU RiverHawk Legacy members.

Bill White, Oklahoma City
Bill transferred to Northeastern from Eastern State College in 1966. While at NSU he was a member of the Student Senate, Wesley Foundation and served as State Vice President of the Oklahoma Methodist Student Movement, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and Young Democrats. He joined the Army prior to graduation in 1968 and returned to NSU in 1975 to complete his Sociology degree in1976. Bill is retired from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission where he served 31 years. He also retired from the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Bill is a life member of the NSU Alumni Association, a founding member and past president of the Oklahoma City Area Chapter for the Association and remains in Oklahoma City with his wife, Mary.

Lewis Wilson, Tulsa
Lewis is a 1972 graduate of NSU with a degree in business administration. While at Northeastern, he
served on the Inter-fraternal Council, was charter president of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, president of
the African-American Student Union and a member of the College Union Activity Board. Retired from
a sales and marketing career in telecommunications, Wilson now volunteers as chair of the Sick and
Shut-In Committee of the Booker T. Washington Class of 1967 and co-chairs NSU-AASA. He and his wife
Rossalyn live in Tulsa.
