President - Diane (Sarey) Walker, Tulsa
Diane earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech & Drama Education in 1988 and a Master of College Teaching - Student Personnel Services in 1991. Diane is currently the Director of the federal grant program Educational Talent Search at NSU and is in her fourteenth year with the program. While at Northeastern, Diane was on the Majestics pom squad, the NSU Dance Company, Children’s Theatre, and was nominated for the Outstanding Senior award. She and her husband Jeff Walker ('87, '88), reside in Tahlequah with their two daughters.

President Elect - Becky (Smith) Gore, Pryor
Becky received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1991. While at NSU, Becky served as president of Alpha Sigma Alpha and the Northeastern Student Government Association and was active in the President’s Leadership Class, Model United Nations and the Northeastern Activities Board. She also served on the Student Advisory Board for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Becky now serves as the Assistant District Attorney for the 12th Judicial District. She is also active on the Board of Directors for the Green Country Boys & Girls Club and the Pryor Business Professional Women. Becky is married to fellow alum, Dr. Jim Gore (’91) and they are lifetime members of the NSU Alumni Association.

Past President - Dr. Justin Lindsey, Tulsa
Dr. Lindsey graduated from Northeastern in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned the Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. Dr. Lindsey practices primary care optometry specializing in contact lenses at Tulsa Eye Clinic. Dr. Lindsey is married to Jennifer Holsted Lindsey, a 1995 graduate of Northeastern with a degree in Meetings and Destinations Management. Together they have 2 sons.

Director of Alumni Services - Daniel Johnson, Tulsa
Daniel Johnson graduated from NSU in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in marketing. While a student at Northeastern, Danny was a member of the President's Leadership Class and a four-year letterman for the varsity soccer team. After graduation, Danny began his career working for NSU in the Office of High School and College Relations as recruiter and freshman orientation instructor. Currently he serves NSU as the Director of Alumni Services. He is also active in the NSU Athletic Association and NSU Soccer Alumni organization.

Erin graduated from Northeastern in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Planning. Erin currently works for Northeastern State University as the Database Coordinator for the offices of Alumni, Development and the NSU Foundation. She resides in Tahlequah with her three sons.

Barbara Abercrombie, Tulsa
Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice in 1993. While a student at NSU, Barbara was active in the Non-Traditional Student Association and the Criminal Justice Club. Barbara is currently the Director of Human Resources at The University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. She is a lifetime member of the NSU Alumni Association, the President of the Oklahoma College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, the Past-President for the Oklahoma Association for Affirmative Action, an active volunteer with the Tulsa Area United Way. She and her partner, Tery DeShong, are the proud parents of NSU student Jacob DeShong Abercrombie.

Rachel Anderson Hill, Tulsa
Rachel graduated from NSU with a bachelor of arts in mass communication in 2002 and a master of arts in communication in 2003. She currently serves as communications manager for the Tulsa Metro Chamber and a freelance writer for publications including TulsaPeople magazine. While at NSU, Rachel was the president of both Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and the Society for Collegiate Journalists. She attended NSU on a full academic scholarship, graduated from the Northeastern Honors Program and was inducted into the NSU Hall of Fame in 2002.

Carol Ann (Shackelford) Barkley, Inola
Carol Ann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1978. While at NSU Carol Ann participated in the Student Council for Exceptional Children, the Student Education Association and was involved in the Baptist Student Union. She has taught in the Inola Public School System for 32 years. She serves as a board member for the Rogers County Volunteers for Youth and has been active in the Oklahoma Education Association, the National Education Association, and Delta Kappa Gamma International. She is a faithful supporter of NSU athletics as a member of the Athletic Association and is a lifetime member of the NSU Alumni Association. She is married to fellow NSU alumnus, Clyde Barkley ('77) and they have 2 children Justin ('04 & '06) and Andrea ('09).

Ron Evans, Collinsville
Ron, a former president of the Alumni Board, is currently serving for the 2nd time. He is a retired school teacher who earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1960 and a master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 1964. During his years at NSU, Evans was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon, a two-year letterman for NSU basketball and editor of Tsa-La-Gi. He is also a co-founder of the Nifty Fifties alumni group.

Danna (Budd) Fowble, Norman
Fowble graduated with a B.S. in Meetings and Destination Management from NSU in 1993. While attending NSU, Danna worked in the Financial Aid office as well as in the College of Business. She was also active as a Pi Kappa Alpha Lil’ Sis, Intramural sports as well as the Fitness Center on campus. Danna currently works as Vice President, Federation/Grassroots Development for The State Chamber of Oklahoma, Legislative Advocates for Business where she manages two non-profit organizations, the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives Association (OCCE) and the Oklahoma Professional Economic Development Council (OEDC). She is also a registered lobbyist fighting for laws to help businesses prosper in Oklahoma as well as the primary event planner for The State Chamber. She and her husband of 23 years met as students at NSU and currently reside in Norman with their two children, Nick and Erica.

Harlan Guthrie, Tulsa
Harlan earned a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1995. During his time at Northeastern, Harlan was active in Lambda Chi Alpha and Rookie Bridge Camp. He is currently works for Relay Health as a Training Specialist and volunteers his time to the Special Olympics and the Southeast Tulsa Jaycees. Harlan resides in Tulsa and is serving as the Area Director for Green Country Area Management Team for the Special Olympics.

Stephen Highers, Tahlequah
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 2005. Stephen served as the president of the Northeastern Student Government Association and Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He was also a Rookie Bridge Camp Director and served as the Northeast Regional Director for the Oklahoma Student Government Association. He was active in the President's Leadership Class, Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature and was named an Outstanding Senior and to the NSU Hall of Fame. Stephen is currently involved in Leadership Tahlequah, the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce, Tahlequah Young Professionals and serves as the Board Secretary of the Red Cross Muskogee Service Center. He serves as the Field Representative for U.S. Congressman Dan Boren and is married to fellow NSU alumnus, Cami (Hamilton) ('05).

Maci (Hamilton) Jessie, Tahlequah
Maci is a 2001 graduate of Northeastern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, emphasis in Public Relations and minor in Meetings and Destinations Management. Following graduation, she attended law school at the University of Tulsa where she received her Juris Doctorate in 2004. Maci is currently an attorney in private practice with Tim K. Baker & Associates in Tahlequah. While attending NSU, Maci was very active and served in many leadership roles in student organizations including Delta Zeta Sorority, Northeastern Student Government Association, Panhellenic, Rookie Bridge Camp, Redmen Ambassadors and was a staff writer for The Northeastern student newspaper. Maci was also named Miss Greek and an Outstanding Senior in 2001, and was one of the Top Five Greek Females in 2000 and 2001. Maci and her husband Jason ('01, '09) have one daughter, Madeline, and are proud supporters of the NSU Athletic Association and lifetime members of the NSU Alumni Association.

Virgil Knight, Tontitown, AR
Virgil earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1970 and a Master in Physical Education in 1972. He is the owner and president of Knight Construction in Tontitown, Arkansas. During his time at the University he was on the NSU Football and Track teams. Knight also spent years coaching at Auburn, Florida, Arkansas, and for the Green Bay Packers. He and his wife, Tracie reside in Fayetteville

Bill Moorer, Muskogee, OK
Bill attended Northeastern from 1953-1956 and completing his degree at the University of Texas, El Paso in 1957. Later Bill recieved his first Master's degree from Southern Methodist University and a second Master's degree and an Educational Doctoral degree from Oklahoma State University. During his time at NSU, Bill served as the President of both his freshmen and junior classes, was a member of the varsity tennis team and was named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. Bill spent 41 years in ministry holding various positions including: parish minister, campus minister, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Conference of Churches and finally retiring as the District Supervisor for the United Methodist Church. Bill and his wife Helen reside in Muskogee and have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

Ron Perdue, Tulsa
Ron earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1962. While at NSU, Perdue was a three year letterman on the Northeastern tennis team and a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon. Ron spent a number of years working for Shell Oil and for a consulting firm for major oil companies. Since his retirement, He has been heavily involved in volunteer work. He and his wife, Winnie Mae (Guess) Perdue, who was an NSU cheerleader, are both active in senior athletics. They have both qualified and participated in the National Senior Olympics for the last eight years.

Russ Riff, Broken Arrow
Russ graduated in 2003 with a bachelor of business administration in Finance. While attending Northeastern he served as the director of Campus Connections and coordinator of the Redmen Ambassadors. Russ was involved in Lambda Chi Alpha serving as a four- year officer including president. He was also selected as an outstanding senior. Russ currently works for the Commercial Capital division of BancFirst. He is married to NSU alumnae Amy (Rose) (’03) and they have one daughter, Addison. The Riffs reside in Broken Arrow and are lifetime members of the Alumni Association.

Gregg Simmons, Tahlequah
Gregg earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 1999. During his time at Northeastern, Gregg served as the editor of The Northeastern, and was active in Lambda Chi Alpha, Northeastern Activities Board and Rookie Bridge Camp. He was instrumental in the creation of the "I Love the 90's" NSU alumni group. He is currently a writer for the Cherokee Phoenix and is also a lifetime member of the Alumni Association.

Melanie (Eubanks) Wicks, Muskogee
Melanie graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. While attending Northeastern State University, she served as President of the President's Leadership Class and as President of the Panhellenic. Melanie was involved in Alpha Omicron Pi, a Redmen Ambassador and was a member/performer of Downtown Country, formerly the Downtown Hoedown Players. She was chosen as an Outstanding Senior and was crowned NSU Homecoming Queen in 2000. Melanie currently teaches theatre and English at Fort GIbson High School. She is married to NSU alumnus Jason Wicks (1997) and they have 3 sons, Max, Cooper and Easton. The Wicks reside in Muskogee, OK.
